Fish - I have proved it wrong?

Right a strange one here, the theory that fish have no memory!!

My fish knows when feeding time is, i shake the tub infront of them every evening at different times and they know they are about to be fed.-----so there goes the theory they have like 3 second memories eh?

Coz if they do they wont know that me shaking the food infront of them is dinner time will they?....have i discovered something amazing??????

Yeah, the mythbusters actually did this one as well. They showed that they definitely do have more than a 3 second memory.

there was a boy who proved the "three second memory" wrong by teaching a goldfish how to perform tricks. It was pretty cool :) so sadly no, you have not chanced upon the discovery of a lifetime. but don't feel down, it was a good question.
