I have a 10 gallon fish tank. It is made by Tetra. It has two light bulb outlets that you s***w in two lightbulbs. I have 2, 15 watt bulbs. I want the lights to be clear but they are a yellowish color. Is it the color of my rocks, which are rainbow, or is it the brand of bulb? My friend has the same size tank and the same watt bulb but she only has 1 bulb not two. Also, the color of her rocks are white. Please recommend a brand or color of bulb(s)!!!

  1. How long have you had the lights in there? If it has been a while then I would suggest wiping off the bulbs or cleaning your tank.

  2. Sounds like your bulbs are bad.  Try changing your bulbs and see if this improves it any.  Even try to upgrade to frourecent lighting.  The fixtures aren't that expensive, and bulbs cost about the same in the long run, and last longer.

  3. Bad light bulbs, since you have a 10 gallon fish tank, and can get a black hood with fluorescent lighting, its the best for coral and aquarium plants growth, and also healthier for your fishes. I got the white color fluorescent light, it looks like crystal white when i turn it on, i feel very comfortable with it, it does not have ultra violet in it.
