should I add salt with the stress coat when I clean my fish tank?

  1. im not sure you should do that anyways..

    you only add salt when the fish are somewhat stressed

    stress coat though, yes, i add it everytime i do a complete water change(:


  2. i would put in salt every water change to lower nitrates and stress coat i would put in when theyre stressed.

  3. You could put salt in with the conditioner if you want. That would be the best time to do it, dissolve it in the water dont just throw a handfull into the tank. Check online and see if the type of fish you are keeping need salt or cant take it. Some fish do better with constant salt and others do worse. Research. Remember salt wont evaporate like water so only add more when you do a water change.  By the way just in case your not doing it this way, you need to mix the stress coat and salt in the bucket of water your putting in your tank first and then let it sit for ten minutes before you put it into the tank. You never want to add chemicals or anything directly into your tank.
