  1. Sometimes putting your hand in an aquarium can release bad things into the water. If you did do this, no worries, just do a large water change. (50%) What I did to make sure I don't pollute the water, is buy a glove (one of those latex rubber gloves that you can buy in boxes at drugstores) and wear it while planting plants, switching around rocks, or siphoning the gravel.

  2. It isn't good to do so.

Most aquarium shops sell shoulder-length rubber gloves.  Buy a pair of those.

  3. You should put your hands in the tank as little as possible anyways so that just makes it even worse of an idea.

  4. To avoid this common mistake by fish lovers everywhere. Use your FORK AND KNIFE for gods sake, what the h**l are your hands oily from.

  5. very bad as the oil can go into the water,

    polluting it and producing ammonia

first of all,you should always wash your hands before and after breakfast, lunch or dinner and even snack that is very basic

oil has many products in it that are harmful to fish

you use Eugenol~ a active product in clove OIL to euthanize fish

  6. sticking your hands inside an aquarium when they're dirty (either with food or with soap) is a bad idea. it could leech unwanted things into the tank and mess up your water, harming the fish.

only put clean hands (that are free from soap residue) in the tank.
