  1. what type of goldfish is it? a common one does not often get swim bladder.

if she has always been like this it could have a deformed spine.

if not she could be ill, if you are unsure or do not post more details try general fish medicine =]

  2. have you used anything to clean your tank that may have poisoned the water?

  3. sounds like she had a problem with her swim bladder.  i had a pearlscale goldfish that had this same problem.  she lived 10 years, the last three on the bottom of the tank.  goldfish tend to suck alot of air in when they eat flake off the top of the water, and this causes problems with their swim bladders. the swim bladder is an organ that actually holds gas, it's what keeps the fish afloat evenly in the middle of the water column.   sucking in too much air with food somehow messes with the buoyancy of the swim bladder.  i think she'll be okay, she'll just have to live on the bottom.  if you feed her flake, i suggest you take a pinch and submerge it in the water, let it absorb the water a bit, and then release it and let it float down where she can find it.  i'm sorry :(

  4. there is nothing you can do
