  1. I don't advise putting a bala shark in with large angelfish...angelfish have aggressive tendencies and may pick on the shark, they would probably gang up on him and in defending territory they could hurt it. Angelfish are cichlids and probably will go after your tetras as well. Beautiful fish, but their looks will fool ya...wolf in sheeps clothing!

  2. for a young one yes. They get up to 16", so for an adult you would either want the 55 with only bala (maybe two) or move up to a 75.

They are peaceful, so you dont have to worry about the other fish. I just think that if you add him to your tank, it's just going to be too much. They also like schools, so you'd want more than one.

  3. Compatibility may not be the question. The tank just sounds crowded to me and you may have issues in regards to that.

  4. Bala sharks get up to around 15 to 16 inches and need to be in groups of 6 or more. They need to be in at least a 6 foot long tank, and many believe they are just not suited to aquaria life because of how active and large they get. So to answer your question, no I don't think it is suitable for your tank (although they are compatible with those fish) Oh and they are omnivores and will eat any fish small enough to fit into its mouth.
