  1. first make shure your temp in the tank is 78 and try to sink some flake food to him. if your temp is to low the fish wont eat as much.. sometimes these fish are not interested in algae. they like regular fish food  or try shrimp pelletts sparingly  they can ruin a tank if nothing is eating them. good luck

  2. When I bought my otto I also bought an algae ball.  I had the algae wafers and he did not eat them.  I bought the algae ball at petco they just started carrying them.  Good luck  I hope this helps.

  3. he prob eats umm but u dont see it because there nocternal

  4. Go to your local pet store and ask them if they have any other food for your loach because yours isn't eating algae pellets. If you find anything else try feeding it that and see what happens.

  5. Well besides the pellets..you should be feeding him fruits and veggies.  A healthy diet MUST include Fruits and Veggies. You can buy a veggie clip at your local pet store. You should be putting the fruits or veggies in your tank every 3 days maybe less depending on the size of your pleco and how much he eats at a time. I feed mine twice a week. If he doesn't eat right away keep trying and eventually he will. :]

    Good Luck

  6. really  just leave him alone they eat alge more than you thinkmine never needed food it just ate of rocks and all that

  7. feed it algae wafers

  8. If you don't have much algae in the tank, try feeding it regular food that you would feed your other fish. If that doesn't work, take a rock out of your tank, put it in some clear container full of water, and place it on your windowsill. This should grow some real algae for your fish if you're tank's glass is lacking.

EDIT: Chelsea, you shouldn't feed fish things like lettuce due to the fact they can not digest them.
