Fish question water change from fresh to brackish?

can i keep my fresh water fish in a brackish tank?wa i mean is can i turn my fresh water tank to a brackish tank with my fresh water fish i ask this because i see fresh water fish in a brackish tank in pet store ive asked the pet store and they said it was posssible has any1 tryed this b4 and did it work?

depends what fish you have, most true freshwater fish will not survive in a salty brackish environment. what freshwater fish are kept in a brackish tank at the petstore?

many fish can even be salt intolerant entirely such as corys, tetras and plecos.

where as other fish sold as freshwater, predominantly the Molly, can be, and does better in, brackish water.

Research the different types of fish you have and what type of water they need.  Do your own homework.  I've been mislead several times by information from pet store employees.  (No offense.)
