Im 5'11 and 150 pounds and want a surf board again. Sold my 8 foot board after about 6 months of use. Im not that good and the waves in Santa Barbara are small in the summer. If I get a fish I want it at least 6'3 or bigger because I dont like really tiny boards. Thanks for the help

  1. Fish boards are a good transition from long board to short. It depends on if you think your ready or not...

I personally try to push myself as much as I can.. Thats how you get better.

  2. Fish boards are the way to go.  I only surf fishes (all from 9 Fish Surfboards).  I use them in all conditions from knee high slop to double overhead.  If you're looking for a bigger fish, take a look at the Fugu (6'4" x 22" x 3") http://www.9fishsurf.com/fugu.html or the Yellowtail (6'10" x 22 1/2" x 3 1/8") http://www.9fishsurf.com/yellowtail.html...  They're super easy to paddle and catch waves with.  They even have a video on YouTube of a pretty big guy ripping on the Fugu.
