Fish tank anchor worm question?

A friend of mine is giving her tank away because she got a bigger one. She is currently having an anchor worm situation and I want her tank. I'm wondering what I can do to it to be able to use it and hopefully keep the rocks since she has only had the rocks for two months. I'm wondering if vinegar will do it. Advice please.

Bleach would be better.  Just make sure the tank and rocks are completely dry before you add the water and it will be fine.
