what kind of knot should I tie on my baitcast reels when im going to spool them

  1. use the rapalla knot when the guiding eye is in the middle (not on either side)  


  2. That would somewhat be personal preference? All reels no matter if it be level wind/baitcastin' or spinnin' that we have, the Arbor is the one that's used. Again, personal preference ~ I guess?? ;) < ' ( (( > <

  4. I agree with the answers given. If you are hoping that the line knot at the end of your line is going to hold once all your line has gone then you are already in trouble with what ever is on the end anyway.

  5. tie an arbor knot, aka, "slipknot".  

  6. I sometimes use a simple overhand knot, but the knot I mostly use is the improved clinch. I don't actually use the full knot though. I only loop it around three times. To me there's just no need to completely tie the knot for that situation.

  7. I'd go with what Dane cruz says. If I have to pay out my entire spool bringing in a fish and have to rely on the knot then I did something way wrong.
