Fishing of a cruise ship?

I know this sounds ridiculous but Im going on a cruise and is it at all possible to fish off a cruise ship? anywhere on it? im going on royal Caribbean if tht helps

You're right, it is very ridiculous.

Have you ever tried fishing when the boat is moving 30 miles an hour, where you can reach over the side and touch the water.

Now, put yourself 200 feet from the water on a ship that's moving 30 miles an hour.  You wouldn't be able to put enough weight on the line to get it below the surface....not to mention all the people's way you would get in with this activity.

Well in thery you could but I dont know if its permitted. Its not alouded to throw things overboard but I dont know if thats included fishing hook and line that are fixed to the fishing pole. So the best advice is to ask at the information desk... (Pursers desk)

But if you can get any fish is a different thing all together. Seriously I dont know if any fish is stupid enough to go anywhere close to such a large thing as a cruise ship. I think they would go crazy near it. But youll never know... Johan

No you can't do that, but you certaintly can go on a fishing excursion when you get into port. I could just picture someone trying to go fishing from a cruise ship. Funny picture I have in my head.
