Fishing off docks Erie, Pa?

Question

I am going fishing in Erie, Pa in 2 weekends, and I was wondering if I can catch perch off the pier, and not off a boat, and what are some tips?

use small red/white dare devil lures...

fish the current down river or away from the pier at the shore

go right off the dock with a bobber this always works for me i usualy catch about 20 in 30 minuetes

You sure can. Cast out pretty far...wait a second or two..reel in at a midian speed untill you get about 10-15 feet from the dock and stop reeling. The perch will hit as the bait sink to the bottom. Have fun
