Fishing question?

Question

So I live near a creek and I've heard there is salmon in it. At my camp I use corn for fishing and I catch sunfish. So at the creek near me it is wide and also there is little fish and plenty places to hide in for fish and there is crayfish too. With this short description what fish would be there. And in summer would salmon be in a creek? Also what bait would i use food wise for salmon? Thanks!

I highly Dought there would be salmon in a creek, but there could be...possibly some trout only if the water is moving, some bluegill, sunfish, possibly perch, bass would depend on the depth of the water about 2-3 feet for bass...probably not catfish, if there were bullheads (smallest of the catfish) is the only kind that would be there!!!!!!!!!! i have a creek behind my house and i absolutely love to fish in it.well there might be some bass, red eye, blue gill, and maybe snakes haha.ive never seen a salmon in my creek before but id say u could catch them with worms or crayfish or even lures and spinners.

If you live in the north west part of the US or West of canada then your creek could possibly have salmon. it all depends on what bigger body of water it connects to and if that bigger body has access to sea or ocean. if you do then you may be able to catch salmon using any type of flying insect replica you can throw out there. Another thing that would work is grub larvas.

if you live in the middle to southern half of the US then it will not have salmon. Depending on how deep the creek is then you will be able to catch your sunfish/bluegill. Throw a plastic crawdad or tube bait and you may get a bass or two. Look for these guys in deeper pools along the creek.  some deeper creeks will have what I call a red eye... a lot of people will call these rock bass or creek bass. once again a tube or plastic worm will do the trick. go to this web site and get some tips on how to rig your worm, tube , or craw... the texas rig is best for creek fishing.
