Fishing without a license in Oregon?

How much does a citation cost if you get caught? We are only fishing for trout...

  5. Ooooh, my brother in law got caught on the Mckenzie river fishing without a license. Just get a day permit...it's not worth it man.

  6. As far as I know if you're in a secluded area (and there are many in oregon), the chances of you actually getting caught are slim to none. Now if you're in a national park or on the side of the road or something, that might be risky.  

  7. i got caught fishing and the citation was only $50 bucks meh but i was salt water fishing i wanna say if you get caught which is rare then it's anywhere from 75-100 but i wouldnt worry about it lol

  8. i live in salem oregon it costs about $550 dollars if the police cite you plus a two month training at the police station teaching you on the proper ways of fishing in the state of oregon.

  9. OMG dont do it, i used to live there and they are nuts about wildlife....not only will you get a ticket of $250 per person, but they will take away your equipment and possibly your vehicle, andddddddd, youll have to appear in court....

  11. If you would even consider fishing with out a license, you have no business fishing. Other law abiding fishermen who buy licenses help provide the fishing opportunities you would attempt to use without contributing to them. It should be a matter of morals, ethics and good citizenship to buy a license to use the resources.

    Don't fish without a license. You give fishing a bad name.

    I have fished for 50 years and have been asked for a license 1 time and spoken to wardens on the stream and river banks more times than I could count. Never did I not have a license and stamp.
