Fishy smelling discharge ?

Is it normal to have a fishy smelling vaginal discharge? Sometimes I have it after s*x, other times I have it even w/o s*x. The dr. said it's ok, but I'm still worried. Plus, any ideas how to get rid of the smell?

thanx!

  1. Discharge is not supposed to smell fishy.  You might have a yeast infection or another type of infection.

Oh yes, don't put vinegar inside your v****a, it isn't good for you.  Vinegar based douches are not very good for a womans body.  Soap and water is much better for cleanliness.

  2. You probably have an infection. Wash your v****a with a little bit of vinegar( maybe a table spoon per cup), then see a doctor to prescribe something to get rid of the infection. Make sure you hurry because depending on the kind of infection you have and how long you leave it untreated, it might prevent you from having kids later on in life.

    Good luck

  3. It could also be bacterial vaginosis. Have you had a child at all? Did it happen to come on around the same time. You mentioned it seems stronger after s*x, that is usually typically of BV. Do you find (and this may seem odd if not) that the crotches of your coloured panties look like they have been bleached? If so you are looking at BV which can get worse and more horrible and embarrassing as time goes by. An excellent product I have found to help (though on the slightly expensive side, but well worth it depending on how long you have been dealing with it) is Femanol. You can purchase it at the site listed in my source. It's $67 a bottle, but depending on how bad, you may only need a one month dose but will see the effects fairly rapidly.(less than about a week)
