I do not think that is true.  There are some very intelligent women who are fit and some very unintelligent women who are not.  I think over all society views those who are unfit as less intelligent because they often see them as weak or having a lack of self control.

That is not true at all, at least in part; the majority of unatractive and unfit women are generally not highly regarded either physically or intellectually, although, there is a greater likelihood that an unatractive woman will be regarded as intellectual. The reason attractive women in the United States are generally not very intelligent, has to do with their rarity. That is, because physical attractiveness equates to social popularity, there is no reason for them to study hard, or do well in school, in short the proverbial "queen bee."

A "queen bee" does well enough academically to be above the "losers," but not so well to be considered a "nerd." However no one thinks of them as intelligent because indeed too many of them never worked to develop their intelligence; having been pretty their whole lives pretty much they were groomed for social scheming and what have you almost from childhood. It is however, an unfair stereotype for a very good reason; some women are late bloomers. A girl who was a total geek in high school, who was overweight, wore braces, and in addition she had bad acne, she turns 18 all of a sudden she turns into a knockout. Happens all the time but see, because prior to the fact she was "ugly and unpopular," she spent her time studying getting straight A's. By the time she goes to college, she becomes one of those "unaproachable straight A hotties who only dates the rich guys." The worst of them will date dudes with the promise of a high income who come from rich families, while the best of them will date guys who are late bloomers like themselves.

Your stereotype is partically correct; there is a greater likelihood that a woman will be considered "smart" if she's unatractive, than otherwise. Although, like I said, because of the "late bloomer, geek to chick" effect, there are plenty of beautiful women out there who hold jobs requiring brain power only because they were ugly enough in high school to be forced to study rather than socialize. Think about it man; don't stereotype pretty women, some, specifically, the late bloomers, are smart.

People say things to make others feel better. That's where the saying "women should be appreciated for there intellect" comes from.

Granted there is more to a person than there body but attractive people regardless if there male or female have it easier in life.

But for the most part what us guys like or what we are attracted to is usually a healthy female build.

Why should someone be attracted to someone who is obese or doesn't take care of themselves?

       In reality it is hard for a women to not be what men want unless there over weight,obese,fat , etc-

         But for the record most of the women that I have met or known who where intelligent where also attractive.

Most of the women that I have met that say things like "women should be appreciated for there intellect" where often obese and less than intelligent.
