I have VERY VERY, recently started running. (two days ago)I am rather annoyed at how unfit I truly am. I can run at a decent pace (for me) for only 15 minutes. I have to rest for about two minutes in between this. If I keep running everyday, how long would it take for my fitness level to increase to be able to run about 30 minutes? And then how long from that to an hour?

  1. just have patience time cannot loose you.if you really want to have a fit body, just do the daily basic work outs your doing and observe what are the changes you have accomplished then see you will have great encouragement to continue for the development of your body, just relax and have patience alright.

  2. ha,long time...some people are sprinters and some are long distance runners...i can run a mile in 7.5 mintues but i can only run for about 12 without stopping

  3. i just started working out again two days ago as well....the first day i ran for fifteen minutes then yesterday i did 20 and today i did 20 again....

break it up into two parts if you have to.....run 15 at the beginning and then work out some and then run 15 more before you leave....

    OR

This is supposed to be a good cardio session as well....

walk (at a pretty good pace) for 5 minutes

    run for ten

    walk for two

    run for ten

    walk for two

and do it til you are too tired to continue running....

but it is only safe to build up. if you just get on a treadmill and think...

"Im gonna burn some major calories im gonna run 45 minutes" when your heart and body isnt used to it....it will not be good. trust me, i know from experience.....

    good luck!!!

  4. I just also started soccer and hadn't ran all summer. It's hard, but what I do is run a little longer each day. So if your running 15 minutes, you could go by day or week and whatever you choose add an extra minute each time. Eventually, you'll make it to your goal. I was also told by my coach that if you develop your core, it'll be easier to run. So when you can, do some sit ups or crunches. It also helps to listen to upbeat music that makes you feel good and takes your mind off what you're doing

Good luck and don't think about how long you need to run while running!
