Fitness work for sport - best answer gets points?

hi,

i go back for pre-season in abou a week for football. we do lots of fitness work, and i mean lots so this time around i want to have an advantage going back.

today and another day before it starts i plan on going "SPRINTING" for a total of about 15 minutes work. on each of these 2 days i will do the following:

running from one goal post to another and slowly jogging back and doing so again by x15.

will that get me in much better shape before i go back? will i notice the difference? when does the full effect take place?

for what it's worth, i'm 5"8 or 9, 144 pounds, 16 years old and a male.

  1. Resistance training will help a lot.  Use a band, weights, chute, etc.
