Fitting K&N air filters?

to my V50 Guzzi and cant find any info on rejetting, any advice welcome , thanks.

by installing a K&N air filtration system, it allows for more air flow and better cooling.  as for re-jetting, you might not need to make any mods depending on how it runs once installed.  

I would think by increasing air flow, it would need to have a little bit bigger main jet and/or the needle raised one notch (clip lowered) ... but it might be fine without any adjustments.

I did a quick search at the K&N website but they don't seem to have any technical support section with jetting setups.

You  probably should take a plug reading, I do not recall the brand of carb on a Guzzi but you can email me through this and I can help find jets if you need them.

you don't have to re-jet if you replace air filters

I made the change to a K&N OEM replacement on  my  Honda Valkyrie years ago and on  my wife's Honda Magna, recently.  The stock jets are in both bikes and I don't see a difference in performance.  I had the plugs out of the Valk, recently, and the color indicated a good fuel-air mix.

Why on earth do you want to re jet you are only changing the air filters.

i wouldnt bother mate i have tried k&n on a gsxr, sounded lovely, but ran like a bag of cr@p flat spots  everywhere and a complete waste of time i put my original airbox back on and oe air flter and my bike was a dream again
