Fitting a different console into a 1998 Chevy Silverado...???

I found a console out of a 2000 Silverado/Yukon/Suburban...Will it fit or replace my console in my 1998 silverado?

If the console is the type that runs from the dash back it will not fit. The dash is different, so it wont mate up properly.
