  1. Even though you have the tap it would be cheaper and easier if you went to your local DIY shop and bought the kit. Don't know where your from but if you went to B & Q it would cost you £10. You get all the fitting instructions, you don't even need to do any soldering as the kit contains a self cutter and you don't even have to turn the water off...................easy!!

  2. It's quite simple, you need to got to B&Q and get a tap kit, you'll also need a pipe cutter and the fitting to make a t junction if it dosent come in the kit, you can use a plastic push fit fot this and it's nice and easy. Find some one in B&Q that looks like they know what there doing and that has been there some time and they should be able to help you.

REMEMBER TO TURN THE MAIN SUPPLY OFF! You need to take a small peice of pipe out of the cold water pipe supply to your cold tap and remember when you do this you need to push the pipe in to the push fit so don't take too much off only just enough. From this the pipe kit it should be pretty self explanatory and quite easy. Now just turn the water back on and check for drips.

After all that i've found this that will explain better (it has pictures) so good luck.

  3. is the outside water supply on your side of the meter?

Are u talking about a water supply hose bib?

Shut supply off at the meter box, usually located in the front yard close to the street in a black box.

Go to where the supply goes into the hose. If it is PVC, cut off the elbow going into the house from the outside and install a tee, install a short nipple, and a 90 degree hose bib with and anti siphon connector prior to the hose.(designed not to backflow contaminated water from hose back into water supply)  Again this is basic info, you can call a plumber

  4. You don't ay what material you are using - if copper you connect by compression fittings or soldering - bit ambitious if this is your first project. Plastic is a diffierent matter. You need a non-return valve to prevent contamination of the water supply (this can happen if you let the end of an attached hose go into dirty water)  and I would advise a shut off valve inside the house so that you can isolate and drain down the tap and feed pipe in winter (and leave empty) to avoid it freezing and then bursting.

  5. An outside tap consists of a 15mm bib tap with a hose connection and a backplate elbow to enable the tap to be screwed to the wall. Turn off your cold water and tap into the nearest cold pipe. This is usually the one under the kitchen sink.

  6. copper pipe or what?   You were too basic in your descript.  "I got a hole & have a tap"  Plumbing is basically simple.  Find a cold water supply line, then measure the lengths and elbows you would need from that pipe to your hole.  That is your material.  Use same type as is used on house in most cases for simplicity.  If it is plastic, then you need glues, and knowing how to use it helps//if copper, then solder and a torch and know how to use it helps.
