Five Coaches In Line For the Nigerian National Team Squad – Part 2

Stephen Okechukwu Keshi, The Return of The Big Boss: This is a name known to every Nigerian who follows football, Okechukwu Keshi has thrown his hat in to be selected for the managerial position of the Nigerian National team. Keshi has been
a key component of the current coaching staff of the Nigerian national team and he was actually made the head coach for the team in 2001.
He was also made an assistant coach with Shuaibu Amodu in 2002 and they won the bronze medal in the African Nations cup in Mali that time. Sadly though the team was denied a chance to go to the World Cup that year and then the coaching crew and the team
were disbanded by the Nigerian Football Federation.
From 2004-04 Keshi was the manager of the Hawks of Togo and took them to the World Cup tournament, then to Germany in 2006 but again he was denied the chance to lead the Togo team to the World Cup.
Keshi is a team mate of Augustine Eguaveon from the nineties and also has also had a run with the eagles of Mali. Chances are the Keshi will do really well if he is given the chance to manage the Nigerian national team. Keshi is worried that the Mafia Theory
will come forth if he steps in as manager, that is when players dictate who gets to join the team and also the administrators may have some minor issues with him.
The Deciet Of Delilah and The Strenght Of Samson: If a general poll was conducted in the country that would show how weak the Super Eagles coach position really is. Samson Siasia is expected to get the spot but it is not confirmed yet and
depends on numerous factors whether this coach will make it or not.
A lot of people are for Siasia as he is thought to be the most suited man to be the head at the top as he is the guy the team needs on the field and even off it.
Samson Siasia started his national team coaching career with the under twenties flying eagles and then lost to the Argentineans in the finals. Then he managed the team in the Olympics in 2008 and then went back to the under twenties team in 2009.
Currently the head of Heartland football club of Owerri and is expected to become the national team coach. When the Nigerian football federation got dismantled, this decision got dismantled with it as well and now it is open for all and Siasia is only a
contender. Right now it seems that Siasia has the best chance to step in as the Nigerian national team coach, he is supported by his fans and the team. He is considered to be a great coach he has a very outspoken nature.
