Five Games return to haunt http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 – Part 4
Article Continued from Part three of the article.
The twenty-four-year-old midfielder Cesc Fabregas warranted their fears when he bizarrely raised his arms in the penalty box to gift Van Der Vaart and Tottenham Hotspurs a goal.
Fabregas has always been a sight of inspiration on the football field and has been a long time captain for the Gunners' squad and even though he has come out with a request to move back to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011, the squad still respects and loves him for who he is.
In spite of the fact that Arsenal had let a huge advantage slip, they scuffed a glorious chance to lead the match 3-2. Koscielny this time, missing an open header after Van Persie had done all the hard-work. With a few final minutes on the clock, Kaboul
nodded home Spurs third of the day and consequently the winner. A sulky Arsene Wenger smashed his bottle in disgust. The fallout was complete.

What was more worrying was the fact that this has happened a number of times already and this surely wasn’t going to be the last time. A team that has failed to capitalise on huge advantages and a team that has failed to turn the screws when needed the most.
A loss from a rival club is never well taken and especially when you let a 2 goal lead slip.
Newcastle versus Arsenal, St James’s Park, February 2011

This game highlighted everything but not for in Arsenal. The deficiencies were blatant after what happened that night at Saint James’s Park. Nothing much can be said about this match, everything was crystal clear.
Phil Dowd was at the centre of one of the worst refereed matches of all time. He completely ignored rash tackled put on display by Joey Barton. Then Diaby was sent off for reacting to a tackle that could have broken his leg which he made clear to Barton.
Two extremely soft penalties were awarded to Newcastle. The second one was absolutely laughable.
Phil Dowd only gave Nolan a yellow for a choke-hold on the Polish goal-keeper. The same kind of indiscipline was shown by Diaby and he had been given a red card.
Putting these refereeing howlers, Arsenal let slip a 4-0 lead and the worst part about it is that it happened in the last 26 minutes. No team in the Premier League has let a four goal lead slip ever and Arsenal should be proud enough for setting this record.
