Five runners lined up for Admiral - tyregiant.com Claiming Stakes
Only five runners have been attracted towards the Admiral - tyregiant.com Claiming Stakes at Beverley in England on Wednesday, June 13, 2012. The winner of the class-6 event will be given a cash prize of £1,617.
The going will be good to soft in the 5 furlong event, which is scheduled to start at 14:30 GMT, and following runners will be seen in action: Dil Laney, Saltaire Lass, Zero Rated, Lord Avonbrook and Sulky Sheila.
Although most of the runners are inexperienced at this level, the conditions are in favour of Dil Laney, who has won the best odds from the bookies today. He will definitely attract a lot of bets from the punters, as his performances at this level have been
good.
The two-year-old gelding has participated in only three races until now, winning none of them. However, he has secured the runner up position once, which shows that he has the potential to fight at the front.
The David O'Meara’s trainee secured his career-best position on debut, but was unable to repeat such a show afterwards. He finished 11th in his next outing whereas took the fifth place in his most recent one.
Things will be a touch different for Dil Laney, as his opponents are also struggling for form at the moment. He will just need a clear run to outperform all of them at Beverley. He will be partnered by experienced rider, Daniel Tudhope, who has been in pressure
situations before as well. His record is good, as he has managed to win quite a few events, but will need to bring more consistency in his performances.
On the other hand, Zero Rated might manage to spring up a surprise at the end of the day, as she has the tools to do so. She is carrying a decent momentum right now, finishing third in her most recent run, but this was her best ever performance and she has
not managed to impress other than that.
The two-year-old filly has participated in just three events until now and was lacklustre in her first two appearances. However, she has a solid chance of making a strong impact at Beverley today.
