Five runners to take part in 3M UK PLC Novices´ Hurdle
Only five runners have been attracted towards the 3M UK PLC Novices´ Hurdle at Ffos Las in England on Tuesday, June 5, 2012. A cash prize of £2,599 has been set for the triumphant horse.
The 2 mile race will test the endurance of all runners and the action is scheduled to start at 15:35 GMT. Following entries have been confirmed for today: Kian´s Delight, Donnachas Chant, Clarion Call, Peaks Of Fire and Geminus.
The bookies have shown a lot of confidence in the abilities of Kian’s Delight, as he has a very good record in this format. He is carrying an excellent rhythm right now, which will encourage the punters to risk maximum bets in his favour.
Overall, the four-year-old gelding has participated in 14 races until now, but his strike rate is not much impressive. However, his record in hurdles is a lot better, which shows that he likes running in such events.
Out of his five races over hurdles, the Peter Bowen’s trainee has won just one race. In addition to that, he has also secured the runner up position on a couple of occasions, which means that he only dropped out of the top three twice.
In his most recent run, Kian’s Delight performed exceptionally well, as he finished on top of the table. He was not rated favourite back then, but still managed to impress one and all with his stamina. He went onto win by four lengths, which was quite a
convincing margin.
The favourite runner will be partnered by Tom O'Brien, who is a seasoned jockey and has won numerous races over hurdles. However, his strike rate in this format is not good, which will discourage the punters from risking money on him.
Although no one else seems to be in a position to challenge Kian’s Delight, there is a chance that Donnachas Chant might manage to give him some tough time. He has never won any race over hurdles, thus the bettors will not have a lot of confidence in his
abilities.
The seven-year-old gelding has participated in 10 hurdles and the best he could manage was the runner up position on a couple of times.
