Five runners to take part in Lanarkshire Chamber of Commerce Claiming Stakes
Only five runners have been attracted towards the Lanarkshire Chamber of Commerce Claiming Stakes at Hamilton in England on Thursday, June 7, 2012. The winner of the class-6 event will be awarded a cash prize of £2,045.
The going will be good to firm in the 6 furlong 5 yard race, which is scheduled to start at 14:30 GMT, and following runners will be seen in action: Falasteen, Waabel, Frequency, Qubuh and Colamandis.
Looking at the statistics of all participants, it seems that Waabel has the best chances of winning the race. He has got the experience and skills to deliver a solid result at Hamilton, thus the punters will be looking forward to place a lot of bets on him.
The five-year-old gelding has participated in 35 races, winning four of them whereas he claimed the runner up position on the same number of times. Moreover, he has also finished third on seven occasions, which shows that he has the potential to fight for
top positions regularly.
Importantly, the Richard Guest’s trainee has been delivering some consistent results over the past few events, which shows that he is in perfect shape at the moment. He performed really well in his previous race, as he finished runner up in it. Despite not
being the favourite back then, he gave a tough time to his opponents, which is a positive sign.
Waabel will be partnered by Lee Newman, who is a seasoned rider, but has not enjoyed a lot of success at this level. His strike rate is not much impressive, which will discourage the punters from risking money on him.
On the other hand, Falasteen has got extremely good speed, thus he will also attract bets in his favour. However, his recent form has been poor, which shows that he is short of confidence right now.
The five-year-old gelding has entered 32 races, winning five of them and finishing runner up on four occasions. In addition to that, he has also secured the third spot once. Despite this, he will need to be at his absolute best in order to challenge Waabel
at the front.
