Five runners to take part in Richmond Conditions Stakes
Only five runners have been attracted towards the Richmond Conditions Stakes at Catterick in England on Wednesday, April 25, 2012. The winner of the class-3 event will be awarded a cash prize of £6,412.
The going will be good to soft in the 1 mile, 3 furlong and 214 yard race, which is scheduled to start at 15:45 GMT. Following are the runners lined up for action: Ed De Gas, Bordoni, Naseem Alyasmeen, Pelican Rock and Actor.
The bookmakers have given the best odds to Bordoni, as he has a very good record compared to his opponents. His recent form is also impressive, thus the punters will be placing quite a few bets in his favour.
The three-year-old colt has participated in three races until now, winning one of them. He has also finished runner up once, which means that there was only one occasion, where he failed to make into the top three.
The Mark Johnston’s trainee was unable to make a big impression in his debut race, but he has been quite competitive since then. He ended up runner up in his previous outing, which shows that he is carrying good rhythm at the moment. He was the favourite
to win, but failed to meet the expectations of the bookies.
However, Bordoni has the tools to bounce back and win another race. He will be partnered by seasoned jockey, Joe Fanning, who is in good form at the moment. Although his strike rate is not much impressive, he has made a big improvement in his performances
over the past few weeks.
On the other hand, Ed De Gas is all set to give a tough time to his opponents in the race at Catterick. He is carrying perfect momentum right now and it will be hard to stop him from fighting at the front.
The three-year-old colt has entered a couple of races until now and was victorious in both of them. Interestingly, he was not the favourite for both those events, but surprised one and all with his speed.
The Rae Guest’s trained runner will be partnered by Chris Catlin, who is a seasoned runner, but does not have an impressive strike rate.
