Fivestar Pupil likely to prevail in Owners Bonus Series Final at Sheffield – Preview
Owners Bonus Series Final will be the highlight of Sheffield’s Monday card. The £500 event has a powerful line-up, but Fivestar Pupil is likely to steal the show tonight, February 13, 2012.
The 500 metre flat Grade A6 finale is set to commence at 13:12, and the participants are geared up for the big event. The line-up comprises of Fivestar Pupil, Smoking Tony, Lush Bird, Easy Action, Hondo Carousel, and Not Set.
Fivestar Pupil has bright chances to defeat the rest, as the blue b***h is in winning mood at the moment. She was unlucky to finish second in her last race on February 6. Despite being crowded, the b***h ran at an excellent speed, falling only a neck’s
distance adrift of the triumphant hound, Easy Action.
A close defeat will work as a huge motivation for her, and a thrilling show can easily be expected from the veteran hound. The conditions are also favouring Fivestar Pupil’s running style, and the Bookies have sent his as the 5 to 2 betting favourite.
Despite her bright chances, it is not going to be a cake walk for Fivestar Pupil. Smoking Tony, and Lush Bird, who have been given the starting price of 11 to 4 each, are well capable of producing a marvellous show on a flat track.
Smoking Tony broke his losing streak by delivering a magnificent performance in his last outing. The brindle dog defeated Lush Bird, by three quarters of a length, sealing the top slot at the same venue. Since Hades Rocket’s son, out of Lovely Tina
is full of confidence after a classy recent victory, he has good chances to have a prominent place on the result card.
Lush Bird registered his previous win in December last year. However, the b***h has been doing a very decent job over the last couple of weeks. If the black b***h manages to gain an early pace, she will be quite dangerous for the rest of the line-up.
Duke Special’s daughter, out of Droopys Shirley is a smash 'n' grab type hound and thus, the connections will soon know her fate.
Easy Action has the calibre of springing up a surprise, and this race is the best chance to prove his mettle. The black dog is stepping in with a close win to his credit, and will be pretty confident of doing well. L. Taylorson’s trainee has been given
the odds of 7 to 2.
It is a bitter reality that Hondo Carousel, failed to show a clear run in each of her last five outings. Her confidence might be shaky due to that, and it will be a brave move to expect something special from her.
However, one point that goes in her favour is that despite suffering, she has been achieving notable positions on the chart. Out of her last five heats, she managed to clinch top slot on a couple of occasions.
Not Set is the least favourite participant in the competition. The black dog has nothing to enjoy, and he is sent at with the odds of 10 to 1, which tell the whole story. Only an upset can take him to victory and thus, betting on him might be a complete
waste of money.
Prediction
According to the betting forecast, Fivestar Pupil is our potential favourite. However, one cannot ignore the class of Smoking Tony, and Lush Bird possess. A pulsating contest is on the cards because the aforementioned trio is well equipped of producing
a lot of drama.
