It worked until I went on a trip form FL-WI now the air condtioning doesn't turn on. It blinks a few times,a nd never goes on. What can I do to fix it.

Side note: What is wrong?

when driving for the first time everyday, it has a problem shifting into the 4th gear. About 3 minutes of driving it shifts finally (just got tran flushed and new fluid in).

Any reason why it is doing this?

  1. i would say that you need to add freon in your air. as far as shifting the first thing i would do is check the transmission fluid while the car is running and after you drove it a dozen miles or so. it sounds like you need to add some.

  2. The problem with your A/C  it is flashing due compressor locking up. you will need compressor replaced. It is very common for this to happen when belt is loose as well or when belt gets wet however if they are tight compressor needs replaced. On your transmission it has a internal temp sensor to help trans last longer it is designed to shift into higher gears only when trans fluid is warm enough for proper lubrication.

  3. The blinking light is an indication that the compressor is not turning. There are a few reasons why this could happen. The belt is too loose, the MG relay is not working, or the compressor is jammed from internal debris. A good mechanic will be able to find this problem quickly, you will not be able to.The transmission is programmed not to shift into 4th gear until the coolant reaches a certain temperature. What is happening is normal. If it didn't happen before, it is now fixed.
