Fix it ticket... letter in mail?!

Further to my previous question about taking care of the registration ticket.. I just got a letter today from the courthouse saying its $201! The cop said it was only $10 court fee when I show proof it was fixed so why am I getting a letter saying its $201??!

in most cases if you fix the problem, you would take the ticket to the police station to be signed, they would take the ticket and you don't need to pay the fine or show up in court. make sure you fix the problem and get the ticket signed before it's due date though.
