Fixed Retainer Question...?

I'm getting my braces off in about a week and my orthodontist told me i needed fixed retainers (top and bottom). I'm not too worried about the idea of having a wire affixed to my teeth 24/7, but I was wondering what the rule was with eating candy and popcorn. I haven't had popcorn in a year and a half and I work at a movie theater. I've been craving popcorn... can anyone help please? Just wondering....

The rules are probably the same as with braces but man, honestly, a bit of popcorn isn't going to explode your mouth.  Just be really careful that you don't bite any unpopped kernels, that's all.
