Hi, I'm a skater. Today, I was involved in a skating accident. I was on the entry to the spin while a friend was doing backwards crossover. We didn't know we're so close and the end of the blades kicked my left skate. She fell and I skidded across the ice. I thought she kicked my blade but I couldn't see any nicks. Later, I saw this "gorge/notch" on the outer sole. It's about a 3/4 inch long, relatively deep at the heel of the sole. It looks quite bad. This is the fifth time I'm wearing my Klingbeils. I cannot send it back to Klingbeil Shoe Labs because I live in Singapore.
How do I fix that, whether for cosmetics/structural purposes? If I can't fix that, how can I stop water from permeating? Is there a way to stop getting the soles dinged so badly?
