Is there anything on the market that lets you huge marks on floors? My freind dropped something in my perfect living room floor and now it has a ugly mark.

  1. Is it wood?  If so you may be able to steam it out.  Soak it, then use a wet towel and hot iron.  Put the towel on the spot and keep pressing the iron on the spot, don't leave it too long, just press and then check.

  2. If it's a hardwood floor, I've been told by flooring specialists that you can leave little puddle of water on the dented spot for a couple of days and it will cause the wood to swell back out, removing the dent. Just cover it with an upside down plastic bowl or something to keep from stepping in it.

I tried this once with a hardwood floor (maple) and it took some of the dent up. Otherwise, you're looking at refinishing the floor (hardwood) or replacing a section of laminate.
