Flabby after cesarean?

It's been three weeks since my c-section. I gained 40 lbs during my pregnancy. I've only lost 20 lbs so far. My belly is flabby and hangs over my incision. I can't even get my pre-pregnancy pants up over my thighs. Everyone keeps telling me it's swelling but it's been 3 weeks!!! It's not swelling, is it? Is it fat? What can I do?

  1. It can still be some swelling but bad news is I have had 2 c-sections and lost the weight and I still have what I call my belly shelf over my incision area. I don't know what to tell ya, I have tried everything. Someday maybe I can get a tummy tuck and get my middle fixed, but right now I have to much to do taking care of my kids.

  2. What i definitely recommend is a girdle. If you don't put something on like it your body doesn't really get its shape back . I normally weigh 110 i went up to 145 then lost it almost all in 1 month i wore a girdle and ate only salad and grilled chicken for snacks i ate fresh fruit. That got me back to 110 now i am pregnant again with baby #2 and so far i am at 135 so this time around i am gaining more wight. I have a girdle ready for it though. What it dose it molds your badly back to the way it was or how it should be. Some of them are made out of a certain material that makes your tummy sweat a little because of the material. they are great and really do work. Go ont ebay and put in the search bar "girdle" and they will pop up and then you know hat you are looking for. It also tells you what size you should get determining on your size.

  3. I have the flab too. I just started wearing bigger pants.  I cant do anything about it until I win the lottery and get a tummy tuck!!  I hate that part of my body but I figure I got an adorable baby girl out of it so I wont complain that much!
