Flash Drive Crushed - Data Recovery

Question

My flash drive was run over by a car but it seems only the outer plastic case was damaged. The actual card itself looks fine but get an error after inserting it into a USB port, "USB device not recognized."

Is there a way to put the chip onto another board to retrieve the data or some other way to retrieve the data?
