there I was, just taking pictures with the aid of the flash attachment when it stopped working. Changed the batteries-twice-just to be sure. Unit seems to power up, all lights on (except green "OK"), lightning bolt flashes in viewfinder upon activation, but when I take the picture, the flash doesn't flash!! I cleaned the contacts on the shoe-HELP! Don't know what else to do except give it a vertical adjustment. . .
