  1. Save it to your Documents (standard stuff), and then bring up the window to the flash drive's location (it'll be a USB port found in "Computers" on Vista, "My Computer" on XP). Open up Documents in another window, and drag-and-drop onto the flash drive. Instant copy. :)

After that, move it to the other computer in a similar fashion (only bringing the file from the flash drive to the documents folder).

  2. should just be the same way

save as .... to flash drive

  3. Umm... if this instance is harder for some reason, you should say how.  Normally, when Word prompts you where you want to save your document, you click "My computer" or select it from the drop down menu, and select your Flash drive.  If you don't know which one is the USB flash drive, just click all storage letter drives other than the C drive until it lets you put something there.  (If you try to open to an empty USB Slot then Windows will give you an error message)

If something's different, or you're not running windows (Mac or Linux) or if you get error messages when you try the above steps, say so.

  4. Go to File, Save as, then choose your flash drive as the place to save it.

  5. Go to my computer, and you should see your flash drive there. Just go to file>save as, and then click into the flash drive's directory like as you would save anything else.
