what is a ''reliable source'' information. who is giving such informations and to whom?

  1. Good question...

    No one is fully reliable. You have to compare always between several to define the mainstream.

    Usually, three world press agencies could be consider as "sure" : Reuters, Associated Press (AP), Agence France Presse (AFP).

    Why ? Because they have some correspondent around the world, they have more leeway's and we could check their ability on the past overall.

    This part of reputation is a clue indeed.

    Between the TV's, I trust more on BBC, Al Jazeera and CNN than Fox News or Al Manar.

    This is about "reliable source". Now, how consider a "breaking news" ? More they're quick, more you have to be careful about.. and look at from where as I said above.

    It depend also of what kind of event...


  2. If it doesn't actually name the 'reliable source' it's often best to mistrust it.  That's not always the case, but a good rule of thumb.
