Flashback: Valentino Rossi re-joins Yamaha Factory Racing – MotoGP Special
The seven-time world champion has decided to switch to Yamaha Factory Racing in the next 2013 season after complaining about the Ducati machine for two years.
He joined the Ducati team at the peak of his season due to some conflicts in his old Yamaha team however Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo have said that they are happy to be together and they do not anticipate further problems between each other.
The Italian rider told that he has faced many difficulties in the team and was unable to see them being resolved. Despite introducing a new chassis the Italian kept saying that the chassis could not be modified fully and he is not fully satisfied with the
performance of the machine.
Rossi said, “This experience, this adventure with Ducati was very difficult already from the start. And unfortunately we were not able to fix our problem during this year and a half, and I was never competitive with this bike.”
Ducati took the allegations of the Italian rider seriously and started working on his complains. They introduced a new chassis and signed a contract with Audi which is believed to improve the performance of Ducati and will help in making it competitive.
Rossi has shown real sportsman spirit that that he will keep sporting Ducati until his contract ends this is because of the fact that he wants to provide a solid platform to the next rider of the team. He also told that he will be trying to give his maximum
in all of the remaining races until he is with Ducati.
Rossi is now 33 years old and wants to have a competitive bike in this phase of his life. He wants to win further championships and has the appropriate skills required to achieve his landmarks. His skills were evident on the circuit. Whenever he got a chance
he ended on the podium, while rest of the times he had one or other problem with his Ducati.
We anticipate a bright future for the Italian rider and expect that all of the fights between him and his teammate Lorenzo will only be confined to the circuit. They result in devastating loss to the sport, same as we have seen earlier when Rossi lost opportunities
for two years and was unable to fight for championship.
