Question:

Flashblindness from halogen lamp?

several days ago I was using a halogen lamp to check the pc connections on the back on my desktop pc and the bulb must have accidentally been in my vision for a second or two which I didnt notice immediately

but afterwards I could see the afterimage of the light bulb in my right eye like a floater in my vision but the same transparency as a floater almost, the afterimage has improved some since it first occured but is still noticeable in the vision after several days

does anyone know if this injury is recoverable over time? and hopefully isnt retinal burn which Ive read about online

  1. Halogen is an intense light.

(not nearly as intense as flash from a welder)

your eyesight will recover over time.

see your chemist for some eye drops, or even better would be to see an optomertrist.
