MY landing light is an energy saver bulb and when I turn it off before bed it continues to flash for about 10 minutes every 7 seconds or so.....does anyone know WHY???????

  1. Inductance into the switch wires of the circuit.

It's actually quite common on 2-way switching with fluorescent lighting..

  2. its because that bulb dosent set to the level of electricity try a normal bulb it wont

  3. well maybe it needs fixing or theres some thing wrong with the elctrict if not well there is some thing wrong and this a very hard question to answer but some ones got to get it anny ways you can see if the plug is ok or if the blub needs changeing

  4. My best guess would be that there is a capacitor in the bulb and it will constantly charge and discharge, hence the flashing

  5. Do you have some sort of transmitter near it, like a radio for a burglar alarm or something like that. Normally transmission signals can light up lights.

  6. i think its because you have an energy saver bulb that when you turn it off there is still some energy left in it so this is why it starts flashing for 10 mins and then the energy runs out..

    hope this helps

  7. try another bulb to see if that is the cause
