Flat Iron question!?

Okay so i bought this chi the other day and now all i hear is my dad blabbing on how it's going to damage my hair and i am sick and tired of it lol.Anyway my dad keeps say ing that if i keep flat ironing my hair i will be bald later in my life if taht really true? straigntning my hair will damage it i agree but will i be bald??????

no unless you have like 400 strands of hair in your head. (very very little, 400 strands dznt even cover your whole head)

no freaking way...he's just being dramatic! just use sprays and hair solutions to keep your hair moisten and if you want every 3 month get a trim to prevent slipt ends

the chi uses ceramic plates, which are a lot less harsh on your hair. to protect mine from heat damage, i use tresemme spray-on heat protector while blow drying and straightening, and use a deep conditioner once a week. with all the c**p i do to my hair, it should be destroyed, but it's gorgeous and silky :)

No not true.  Just make sure you keep your hair healthy.  Buy replenishing shampoos and always use conditioner and heat protectors and you will be fine!

All you need to do is buy some heat protection spray, and put that on everytime you use it.

haha that makes me laugh. anyways, i have the same problem. my mom always won't let me get a straightener because she talks about how it burns your hair and blah blah blah but i really don't think you will be completely bald unles you are using that straightener 24/7. I hope this helped! (now can u convince MY mom to let me use a straightener? lol) = D

it can burn your hair that will cause damage and it will fall out

just take it back and buy a flat iron that doesnt burn you hair as much. look online for one. or just dont constantly go over your hair with it. and dont do it everyday

haha no you wont go bald you will just have really dry hair and really bad split ends. but theres a way to avoid that ya know? get an iron guard. theres this stuff i use called beyond the zone, turn up the heat. its in an orange bottle and its pretty cheap but best of all it makes ur hair smell amazing and it makes your hair really soft! i love it! just follow the directions on the bottle. hope that helps sweetie!

Heat is bad for your hair period but a chi is a good flat iron and to stop damage i suggest that you use chi products while straightening your hair like heat guard iron guard or holding spray which you you can find at local beauty supply store for around $12

You shouldn't be... and anyways, girls have a way lower rate of guys for possible baldness later on in life. Unless you're pulling your hair out when you're straightening it you should be fine. Just protect your hair and everything and it will be fine.

NO. you will not be bald.  Especially if you use protective spray and your iron is Ceramic. These factors help your hair so much later!!

Your hair Will be damaged though, so use it sparingly!!
