Question:

Flat Irons: Chi VS. Sedu...?

Ok, I was saving up my money to buy a nice Chi Flat Iron hair straightener. Right now I have about $103 bucks saved up and a good chance I'll earn another $20 tonight. I was planning on getting a good Chi Flat Iron, but I keep hearing that the Sedu Flat iron is awesome. I'm now wondering whether i should keep on saving for the Chi, or go for the Sedu.

I have thick hair and i live in a very humid place. (Hawaii) So i'm constantly trying to keep my hair frizz-free. My hair is curly (Not majorly curly, just a bit with a wave), and I like how it looks curly, but it I think it looks especially cute straight. I want my straight hair to last for the day without me having to run to the bathroom to straighten it again. Which straightener would be best?

Oh, and is Wet-to-Dry better than just a regular straightener?

  1. definitely Chi

mine is good (4 years now)

  2. i would say the chi. but there so expensive. and you would have to save up more. i always use the chi. but recently i went to get a new one and it was 160$. so i got this biosilk (( its blue with red plates )). im not one for changed and thought nothing would compare to the chi but its made by the same ppl and has more options and works great. i would check it out. it cost around 100$.  i have haor like yours and def dont recommend wet to dry straightners

  3. I personally would recommend buying the GHD iron. They are really good. They cost about $200 and are available at Tony n Guy Salons and Sephora.

I've had mine for about 2 years now.. and its still going strong.

Sorry i don't know much about Chi or Sedu! but GHD is the way to go

  4. Neither one of them is as good as the Croc

  5. ive heard Sedu is the best out there

and no, i dont think the wet to dry ones are better

  6. I'm saving up my money for a Sedu =]

i was actually convinced for a CHI,

but then I heard lots of reviews such as it will break easily =/

    So I'm sticking to sedu.

If your still having troubles deciding, I suggest you check out folica.com

and see the reviews of both straighteners! =]

    Thats what convinced me!

    Good luck
