The lcd scrren inside might have cracked although the exterior screen is intact. Can it be repaired? If yes what are the options, if no are there any buy back centers? Have a brand new Sony Bravia 46" LCD 1080p tv, and my son hit it and cracked it. It didn't show up until we turned it on, and got sound, but only a big crack in the bottom right and no picture. I understand that the LCD panel will now have to be replaced, not repaired, and of course didn't get a extended warranty, and I'm sure Sony's warranty doesn't cover this. So any idea how much it would cost to put a new panel in? Most say just buy a new one, but this is NEW less than 2 weeks old. We have a 40" Samsung LCD flat panel TV. Our son hit it and now we have sound with no picture and you can visably see the crack in the screen when the TV is on. The extended warranty did not cover repair or replacement. What can be done if anything.
