Flatliners exp??

am just wondering in history did anyone attempt to replicate the experiment from the movie flatliners. cos it would be a way of knowing

  1. They used to do experiments with stuff called Ketomine.  They use it to put dogs to sleep.  If you take a large burst of sugar before it finally kills you, it brings you back from the edge.  People tell stories of near death experiences afterwards.  Meet someone in college that did it as part of a medical experiment at John Hopkins.  

    It is also a street drug called special K.


  2. I have no idea if anyone has tried to reproduce those experiements but I hope they have not.

    Regardless, we are being self-deceptive if we think someone who has been "dead" for a few minutes can tell us anything about what being dead is really like. They may have insight into the experience of dying, but clearly, they only nearly died. When someone who has been dead for a week or a month revives, I will put a whole lot more stock in what they relate.
