Flatwater Canoeing in Boston Metro Region?

Question

I am looking for some good flatwater paddling in the Boston, MA Area. I would prefer rivers to lakes, but I guess I'll take what information that anyone has.

I know ther are some good books about padeling in new england ( i even thin I have one but can't remember the name) I would check at an EMS or other outfitting store to see if there are any gidebooks for the Boston/Eastern MA area.
