  1. Boy, I know what you are going through. It takes a couple of days for the Advantage to spread through the fur on the cat, so just give it time. You treated your house, you also need to treat your yard. There are several products for flea control, we used Ortho Max this year and it seems to be working. There is also a safe, natural product called diatomaceous earth  that  is safe to use around pets and humans. You can also use it on your carpet, let it set for 24 hours and vaccum it up.

Be careful using different chemicals around your cats, they tend to be very sensitive to them.

Also, if you bomb your house again, make sure you and your cats are out of the house. When you return air your house out well, before bringing the cats back in.

  2. you should bomb the house again. if you didn't do it professionally before get the cats bathed at a pet salon during the day while the house is being bombed. sometimes it takes a few attempts to finally get ride of the fleas. wash all your linens and clothes even if you think they weren't exposed to fleas.

  3. ok buy frontline combo from like a vetinary stor or a good pet shop it kills them in hours and get some flea spray works wonders

  4. You're doing the right things, but here's some additional information that may help.

Fleas have been around for centuries, and the bad news for you is that even if you get rid of them all now...6 months to a year from now, you may wake up to find the same problem.

    Here's why:

A single flea can lay up to 50 eggs A DAY!  The eggs look like little grains of salt, and they fall off into carpet, pet bedding, floor, etc.

The worse news is that after the flea lays the eggs, they don't all hatch at the same time.  That's why despite all your efforts yesterday, you woke up today to fleas- they are probably newly hatched!

They can remain dormant for six months to a year before they hatch.

    So what do you do?

Best approach is what you have already started...vacuum and mop entire house, paying close attention to areas where kitty sleeps or plays.

Plan to do it weekly until you do not see any fleas, maybe even daily for first week or two.

The advantage that you put on your cat should kill the adult fleas, but to eliminate the problem for the long haul, consider Program - it is an FDA approved flea control product that actually breaks the flea's life cycle.

It comes as a tablet that you give to your cat once a month, and it did come as an injection that lasts for 6 months (probably still available.)

When a flea bites your kitty, the lufenuron (active ingredient in it) affects the flea so that any eggs it lays that hatch into new fleas will not be able to reproduce.

By using this method, if the fleas manage to bypass the topical stuff you put on kitty to kill them, you will make sure they can't continue to make new fleas.  At 50 eggs a day, 2 or 3 escapist fleas could still leave you itchy!

Program is one of the safest drugs known, and while most animal drugs are approved by the EPA (which actually assesses its impact on the environment) - Program is approved by the FDA which assesses its safety for animals and humans.  It is also even safe to use around small children which cannot be said for the bombs and sprays and topicals.

Good luck in your battle!  You'll get there.

  5. Get rid of the cat, or try a flea collar.

  6. try bombing the house again wit a bunch of them. but first clean ur cats nd put them outside. then leave ur house for a while... wen this happend to me we stayed at a hotel for a nite ^.^  i hope itll work for u!!

  7. take the cat to the vet and have it flea dipped.

while the cat is at the vets, have an exterminator come bomb your house and surrounding area.

after the allotted time as past, clean EVERYTHING. and i mean, major haul cleaning of EVERYTHING. in fact you may just want to call a house cleaning service to do.

so why don't you set everything up to be done next weekend, and you just go on a mini vacation. and come back to a flea free world!
