Fledgling blackbird still flopping to one side?

baby still scooting around garden predominently on side. has tried to fly a small piece but not often, mum still feeding. when on side lays with one leg straight out. does attempt to get up but topples very quickly. I have to say he gets around admirably his way but just concerned about his development. I know that babies do pretty much the same thing when they are learning to walk but I know nothing about blackbirds. Anyone one know how long this process should take as the poor little mite has been in my garden at least a week to my knowledge if not longer.

  1. There is something wrong with that bird. He may have fallen out of its nest and got injured. Normal healthy baby birds will not be on the ground like that flopping around.
