Question:

Fleet Marine Officer?

Hey guys, I went to the New York state (SUNY) Maritime College, and they offer navy/Marine ROTC, and I had heard about the Fleet Marine force, and I was wondering how one would become an officer there, so If anyone can give me a rundown from Graduation of college, to becoming a fleet Marine Officer, that'd be terriffic.

  2. The Fleet Marine Force is the combined air, infantry and logistics arms of the Marine Corps. Assignment to such units is considered a normal things after one completes OCS and The Basic School at Quantico following commission as a Marine Corps officer.

    However, unless you become qualified as a Marine aviator, those assignments are to one of the Three Infantry Divisions or one of the three Logistics Groups.
